There are about 32,000 people that live in Monaco. Since the land area of this country is so small at only 1.9 square kilometers,
the population density is one of the world's highest, of about 23,490 people per square kilometer. Of this small population
the ethnic groups consist of 47% French, 16% Monegasque, 16% Italian, and 21% of other mixed groups. The main languages spoken
there include Italian, English, Monegasque, and French which is the official language. Of the few native residents that live
there, most converse in Monegasque, which is a language based on French and Italian. The average age of the people in Monaco
is 45.1 years, so it is a fairly young nation. The majority of the people in Monaco are fairly wealthy. This is partly because
there is close to NO unemployment, plus there are close to no taxes as well. Many wealthy people from other countries also
decide to live in Monaco because the principality has no income tax.
